No Steve, you have misunderstood nothing, but you have exposed a fault in my wording. In Part 1 I used the phrase "the fewest cards" which I should have appeared in Part 2 also! But then I hadn't considered "single digit cards are not replicated" having the additional implications that you have supplied.
