Point-Line Jigsaw (Posted on 2013-12-13) Difficulty: 3 of 5
Reconstruct a diagram where 10 straight lines, of finite length, form 12 intersections, viz:
----------------------
Intersections by
   formed Lines
    7 2
    4 3
    1 4
----------------------
Describe this relatively simple arrangement.

Confusion regarding definition of terms clarified | Comment 7 of 8 |
The problem as stated does not, in my opinion, explain how to count the lines and/or segments.
I was further confused when I asked if a cross would be considered an "intersection of 2 lines or of 4 lines"; I misunderstood your answer of "two lines crossing result in 4 segments" as being "4".  But it is really "two lines".

From the ascii sketch I can now see the definitions:
So a plus sign, for example, is 2 lines making 1 intersection.
A capital letter "K" is considered 3 lines making 1 intersection.
