(B) Keeping all the other conditions in (A) unaltered, what would the value of x and y be, if clause (ii) is rewritten as:

I believe (so do the dictionaries) that  Addle cannot be used as a noun, it is either an adjective (=confused) or a verb (to confuse),

Please correct me if I am wrong.
