Consider a piece of convex paper quadrilateral ABCD with AB=1, BC=2, CD=3, AD=4 and ∠ ADC = 30o

A is folded on to C forming the crease EF with E in AD and F in BC.

Determine:
  • The length of the crease EF.
  • The area of the quadrilateral EFCD.
