Note: since A, P, B are co-linear, once you find A you are done.
Construct a perpendicular to XO through P, this line crosses XO at C.
Translate P by the distance CP to P'.
Construct a parallel to XO through P'.
This line hits OY at A.
(I also didn't see a solution quite like this at the other problems Brian Smith linked to.)
