At a party, the guest of honor stood up to make an anouncement. She said:

"The day before yesterday i was only fourteen. Next year, I will be 17."

How is this possible?

what if the girl was confused and didn't know what the words day and year meant and confused them... she was 16 and one day from her birthday, two "days" ago, meaning years, she was 14, and the next "year", meaning day, she will be 17...
but this is just a silly thought... you never know... it could happen
