(i)Y is a positive integer.
(ii) Y-1 is divisible by 5;
(iii) Y is divisible by 2,3,4,6,7,8 and 9.

What is the smallest Y?.

The product Y*(Y-1) has all the factors of Y and Y-1.  My indirect method looks for potential values which could be the product and solves a quadratic to check.  Therefore 5 is included.
