The well-defined digit (Posted on 2017-08-14) Difficulty: 1 of 5
Let k denote the positive square root of 2.
What is the 144-th digit of (-1+k) 2017 ?

I found this problem with some other parameters – same level of difficulty !

So, hold your breath, do not rush to omnipotent computer, – use your brains,

Solution The digit | Comment 1 of 5
Since (sqrt(2)-1)^2017<10^-144, the 144th digit is 0.
