3N3 (Posted on 2018-01-08) Difficulty: 2 of 5
My 4-digit number N becomes 43 times bigger if you squeeze it between two threes.

Find N, aided by pen & paper only.

Suppose N is a k-digit number.

There is no solution if k is odd since division by 11 is required.

If k is even N is 91 preceded by (k/2 - 1) blocks of 90.

For example, for k=10, N=9090909091.
