En francais seulement ! (Posted on 2018-02-09) Difficulty: 3 of 5
six*cinq= trente

The above 9-digit alphametic is solvable (go for it), but the 10-letter English equivalent (six*five= thirty) is not!

Why not? Where's the contradiction?

Hints/Tips re: ummm...........hint + bonus task //partial spoiler | Comment 2 of 3 |
(In reply to ummm.... by Charlie)

a. You did not provide the solution for the French sample.

b.You found the contradiction correctly, but did not point out that just by changing one letter (mispelling thyrty) one could get  one-to-one correspondance between both versions yielding the same solution.

3.  Another possibility (bonus): six*five= <a valid English word?>
