Any conclusions? (Posted on 2018-09-26) Difficulty: 3 of 5
Given the premises
"No fruit-picker is a sailor"
and
"All Ruritanians are fruit-pickers"
it’s fairly easy to deduce that
"No Ruritanian is a sailor".

But what logical conclusion can be drawn from the following premises:
"All members of the cabinet are thieves"
and
"No composer is a member of the cabinet"?

Say
C = being in cabinet

M = being a composer (musician)

T = being a thief

So we have
C->T
M-> not C
the counter-positive is
C -> not M

so C -> (T and not M)
