Any conclusions? (Posted on 2018-09-26) Difficulty: 3 of 5
Given the premises
"No fruit-picker is a sailor"
and
"All Ruritanians are fruit-pickers"
it’s fairly easy to deduce that
"No Ruritanian is a sailor".

But what logical conclusion can be drawn from the following premises:
"All members of the cabinet are thieves"
and
"No composer is a member of the cabinet"?

a conclusion Comment 2 of 2 |
If there are any cabinet ministers, then there are some thieves who are not composers.
