A child said that his age in years was equal to the last two digits of his birthyear. The child's grandmother said the same thing.
If they both said it in 1932, how old are were they at the time?

For any even-numbered year, in any century, the "child" (who can be any age up to 49 years old) age is half the last two digits of the current year, and the grandmother is fifty years older than that.
