Three men having normal vision, hypermetropia and myopia repetitively, jumps into lake for finding a diamond ring. Who had a better chance of spotting the ring?
Note:
All the three men have their naked eyes directly exposed to water.
Nice explanation, Steven!
Nearsightedness is caused by the eye bending the light too much, so the
light focuses before it hits the retina. This might be because the eye
is too long, the cornea too curvy or the eye's lens too large.
Underwater, the myopic dude will become slightly more farsighted than
usual, so improving his vision.
The vision of the other two will actually worsen underwater, as Steven points out.
