If a 7-11 store is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, then why are there locks on the doors?

In addition to all the reasons posted thus far, perhaps the store has several entrances and sometimes due to staffing reasons, only one is kept open, and on some of these occasions it is one and other occasions another.
