I've decided to create a special puzzle.

Please solve the THRICE+MORPH=CAREER
(each of the digits i.e. 0,1,2, ...9 each was replaced by a certain letter
of the ABC to make the bolded equation true. Unassigned letters are denoted by the letter x.)

Specify both the person's name and how the 3 words of the bolded equation relate to the subject.

I would prefer the above tasks done sans software.

From the title of the puzzle I started with the assumption that R = 7, I = 1 and P = 4.  From there it was pretty straightforward to fill in the rest of the values to create a valid equation:
