From the year 2006, there are many proposed mnemonics to remember the 8 planets.
According to Wikipedia, many mnemonics have been proposed to reflect the present situation sans Pluto, and one of these has been written by Prof. Phyllis Lugger, an astronomer at the Indiana University in the year 2006. It goes as:
"My Very Educated Mother Served Us Nachos."
