Precisely seven cards, "8" to Ace inclusively, are laid face down on the table in an arbitrary order. It is known that:
- Precisely one card is between the Ace and the "9".
- The "8" is between the King and the "10".
- There are exactly three cards between the King and the Ace.
- The Jack is located directly to the right of the Ace.
- The Queen is precisely in the middle.
- The Jack is somewhere to the right of the "10".
Determine the correct order of the cards from the above-mentioned clues.
From # 5, the Q is in the middle, with three spaces on either side.
Then, from # 3, the A and K must be on opposite sides of the Q. If the A is on the right of the Q, if can't be in position 7 (from # 4), nor can it be in position 6 (from # 1). If it is in position 5, then the K must be in position 1 (from # 3). The J is then in position 6 (# 4), and the 9 is in position 7 (# 1).
This leaves the 8 and 10 for positions 2 and 3, and from # 2 the final order must be:
K, 8, 10, Q, A, J, 9
This satisfies all six clues.
