The required Answer is a TONGUE.

EXPLANATION

The TONGUE is an organ endowed with the power of tasting foods/drinks etc.

The NOSE is the organ endowed with the power of smelling different items.

Accordingly, the TONGUE does a very good job of tasting things, but is almost incompetent in smelling them.

Consequently, the required Answer to the riddle is a TONGUE.
