Mr. Anzulewicz is an old man who lives completely alone in his apartment. Due to his advanced age he cannot move comfortably and hence most of the things have to be delivered to his apartment.
According to newspaper delivery boy Finn, he rang the doorbell in Mr. Anzulewicz's apartment on Friday and got very suspicious when it was not answered even after a very long time. Finn then peeped in through the keyhole and saw Mr. Anzulewicz lying in a pool of blood.
The police arrived in the old man's apartment and found him dead. In the apartment, they found:
- 2 bottles of warm milk,
- A Tuesday newspaper
- Assorted gifts
The police immediately deduced the identity of the murderer.
How did the police deduce the murderer's identity so quickly?

Another snippet implicating Finn might be his claim that he looked through the peephole and saw the body. Most peepholes are designed to allow people on the interior to view out, but not vice-versa. So the only way Finn could have "seen" the body is if he already knew it was there to begin with.
