A number AABCBC is the square of an integer. Find all possible values of AABCBC.
1/100 of all numbers with more than 5 digits end with the BCBC pattern. There are only 70 squares that fit the AA**** pattern (So few that I solved the problem by just scanning a table on my calculator.)
We would expect to have zero or maybe 1 number to fit the pattern and yet there are 3.
The probability of 3 or more such numbers if they were random is about 0.0333 so something more is going on here.
