Noah and his five friends: Abner, Benny, Chaim, Diego, and Ezra, were hanging out when Noah spotted a wallet on the floor. Noah has a poor memory, but he remembered that it belonged to one of his friends.
Therefore, he decided to question his friends about it. Their responses are furnished hereunder as follows:
- Noah: Whose wallet is this?
- Abner: That's mine.
- Diego: You're lying, Abner.
- Chaim: That's right, Abner, you are lying.
- Benny: Abner is not lying, guys.
- Diego: That wallet belongs to Chaim.
- Ezra: That's right, Diego is telling the truth.
- Benny: No, Ezra. That's your wallet.
Noah remembers that at least 2 of his friends are Knights, who always tell the truth, while at least 2 are Liars, who always speak falsely.
Unfortunately, Noah cannot remember which of his 5 friends are Knights and which
are Liars.
Determine the types of the five friends. Who owns the wallet?
C and D statements have the same truth value.
A and B have same truth values.
E has the same truth value as D.
If the wallet is not Abner's, it belongs to Chaim. Therefore the wallet does not belong to Ezra. Therefore B and A are both liars and the wallet belongs to Chaim.
A and B are the liars; the others tell the truth.
