Here's a sequence:

2, 4, 8, 13, 20, 29, _, _.

What numbers go into the blanks, and what is the rule for the sequence?

I'm not sure how the 1st 2 numbers fit in, but:

8 = 2² + 4
13 = 3² + 4
20 = 4² + 4
29 = 5² + 4
40 = 6² + 4
53 = 7² + 4
