Xander and Rowan each own a television. They watched the exact same program at the exact same time.
However what looked like white on Xander's television looked yellow on Rowan's.

TV screens glow, so they use an additive system, where the primary colors are blue, green and red, as opposed to the subtractive system used in printers, which use cyan, magenta and yellow.
It seems that Rowan's TV's blue phosphors somehow are not being activated, so the remaining red and green from the white combine to make yellow.
So cyan, being an additive combination of blue and green, would just look green.
