This puzzle of mine will enable to test your ingenuity in solving problems quickly, applying all your previous experience to get the correct answer in minimal time.
Start your timer.
Imagine being interviewed for a job of your best dreams.
The letters in the equation below represent POSITIVE INTEGERS.
You are asked to provide the value of t as accurate as possible.
Free to use brains, paper, calculator, friends...
Given:
t^2=Sqrt(116^m+611^n+225^q)
Your answer:
Stop the timer.
Time spent:.
Your comments:
Powers of 116 end in 6
Powers of 611 end in 1
Powers of 225 end in 5
Their sum will end in 2.
No squares (or 4th powers) end in 2.
The equation cannot be solved in positive integers.
But the title says estimate. The text says "t as accurate as possible." This implies a near solution.
m=1, n=1, q=2 gives t about 15.057 that's pretty close, but not near as possible.
I'm sure there are closer solutions.
