Five Pins on a Board (Posted on 2023-09-27) Difficulty: 3 of 5

seems to indicate that, for a field that's a parallelogram, that the respective probabilities of a triangular, quadrilateral, or pentagonal hull (rubber band shape) are respectively 5/48, 5/9 and 49/144, in statistical agreement with the simulation results, including verifying the 5/9 answer to this puzzle.
