This is a bar bet. You bet another player "You cannot beat me at Poker even if we pick our hands out of a faceup deck, and you pick first."
The rules:
* First, a player picks five cards from the face up deck.
* Then, the other player picks five of the remaining cards.
* Suits are all ranked the same
* There is one draw phase where either player may get new cards.
QUESTION 1: How can you win your bet if the other player goes first, and picks a Royal Flush (10-J-Q-K-A of the same suit) as most people would?
QUESTION 2: How can you win your bet if you go first?
Person 1 picks AAAAK thinking they can get the royal flush in the draw.
The victim can not make a royal straight flush this time because there are no tens. The highest hand he can make is nine high straight flush. (Five to Nine of one suit).
The victim is currently winning and thinks he has the con artist on the ropes. However, he has forgotten about the draw!
Person 2 counters KKKQQ
Person 1 disposes of three of his tens and the indifferent card and takes the jack, king, queen and ace of the matching suit.
The victim(Person 2) can not bet this hand or even equal it because the con artist has disposed of all of the tens into the draw pile!
Question 2
-----------------
Person 2 might not not take the straight flush. He could also bet the Person 1 four tens by taking four kings, jacks, queens or aces. In this case, Person 1 would still get rid of three tens and the indifferent card but he would draw a TEN high straight flush (Six to Ten of any suit) to win.
