How long are the edges of a regular tetrahedron inscribed in the unit sphere?

I was thinking that since a sphere's total solid angle is 4pi steradians, each face of the tetrahedron, when projected onto the sphere must subtend pi steradians.

There are formulae to relate the area of a spherical cap; a portion of a sphere; to the area of the circle that defines that cap, but I couldn't find a similar formula for a triangle.
