a = 0.149162536496481...

b = 0.2357111317192329...

c = 0.1248163264128256...

For Part A:
The series of squares also includes the squares of 10, 100, 1000,... Therefore the decimal expansion of a contains arbitrarily long sequences of zeros and cannot be periodic
