An equilateral triangle with one side 6cm is inscribed in a circle with its three vertices on the circumference. What is the diameter of the circle?
You form a rectangular triangle with an angle of 30 degrees and the bottom side is 3cm. With this information you get the radius of the circle:
R=3/Cos[30]=6/√3
Diameter=2*R=12/√3=6.92820323027
