A unit cube is revolved around its body diagonal. What is the maximum distance between two points in the resulting solid?

I thought we already have the problem of finding the volume of the figure on perplexus.  I created this animation around August 2020 to help understand the shape.  It is a bit of a spoiler for the volume problem, but I may submit it anyway.

There is no distance longer than the space diagonal.  The answer is sqrt(3).
