Bob loves to cook and eat eggs. He just had a plate full of fried eggs, followed by a bowl of scrambled. Now he wants some poached eggs, or maybe hard boiled, but in spite of cooking them for a very very long time, they are still not done. Where is Bob?
Bob could be on a tall mountain or inside a commercial airliner mid flight.
According to a search, the air pressure during flight is kept at about 10.9 psi (vs about 15 psi at sea level). At that pressure, boiling point is 45 C / 113 F, far less than 212 F.
