Towers of Hanoi (Posted on 2003-09-07) Difficulty: 3 of 5
You have three small poles and five hoops - XS, S, M, L, XL (as in extra small, small, medium, large and extra large). They are placed on pole 1 in order, with largest at the bottom.

You can move one hoop at a time, and the hoops you are not moving have to be on a pole. You also cannot place a hoop on top of a smaller one. How can you move the hoops so that they are in the same order as they are now, but on pole 3?

You blew it, Lewis !!!!! | Comment 12 of 22 |
You forgot to say "And you cannot move a hoop from the middle or the bottom of the hoops on a pole, by slipping it OVER the smaller hoop(s) above it"....

So then, you simply:
Move XL from pole 1 to pole 3
Move L from pole 1 to the top of XL on pole 3
Move M from pole 1 to the top of L on pole 3
Move S from pole 1 to the top of M on pole 3
Move XS from pole 1 to the top of S on pole 3

Well, we didn't need pole 2 at all. LOL !!! (Lewis, are you about to suggest what I can do with that pole ??????)
