A Logic Accusation (Posted on 2003-10-01) Difficulty: 2 of 5
In an island peopled by Knights (who always say the truth) and Liars (who obviously always lie), two persons spoke about each other.

A said: "B would say I lie."

B said: "That is true."

Can anything be deduced as to what kind is each of them?

Some Thoughts re(3): Solution | Comment 8 of 17 |
(In reply to re(2): Solution by Brian Wainscott)

In this case, there is no ambiguity: since liars tell lies all the time, both "I am lying" and "I tell lies" imply that the speaker is a liar. Anyway, I meant the second interpretation.
