A baby is added to a hospital nursery. Before the baby was added there were two boys in the nursery and an uncounted number of girls. After the new baby is added a baby is selected at random among all the babies. The selected baby is a boy.
What is the probability that the added baby was a girl?
then why does it still say no solution yet on teh thing????
Something that gets me is that you say a baby was added to the nursery, yet you talk about boys and girls... you automatically assume that they're babies. so I agree that it's one half, but simply because there's a chance it's either a boy or a girl, and there's just the one baby.
