I agree with RoyCook. Bryan takes "random" to mean the endpoints are uniformly distributed around the circle. np_rt has the chords uniformly distributed along the bisecting diameter. These are most definitely NOT the same, particularly near the ends of the diameter.
I think Bryan's choice of "random" is much more natural, and probably what DJ had in mind.
