You are blindfolded before a table. On the table are a very large number of pennies. You are told 128 of the pennies are heads up and the rest are tails up.
How can you create two subgroups of pennies, each with the same number of heads facing up?

I think you're missing something here. My solution, I think, works. I also don't understand what DJ's objection is. Perhaps he is misconstruing the orginal problem.
I also don't understand what Charlie wants me to respond to. Charlie, if you understand what DJ meant, please feel free to elaborate.
