What is the smallest area of each hexagon?

Solution: (Hide)

(1) Assuming the hexagons may not overlap. Then the smallest area of each hexagon is:6√(3)/7 ~1.4846
(2) Assuming the hexagons may overlap. Then the smallest area of each hexagon is: (648+774√(3))/1417≈1.4034
