I am flat, but I am also curved.
I am mainly used for hunting, but can be used for fun;
but not at the same time.
If used correctly, I can go and I can come.
I can travel long distances,
but I never get tired.

Boomerang. This is an Australian Aboriginal returning and non-returning flat hardwood object used for hunting or ceremonial purposes. Nowadays the most popular model is shaped such that the projectile returns to its thrower if thrown correctly. The boomerang can be used in different ways, such as for the pure fun of throwing it and having it return to the thrower; as a musical instrument; or as a hunting tool.
