Each number in the sequence is the sum of the term number and the number of letters in the spelt out version of the number.
1+3(one)=4
2+3(two)=5
3+5(three)=8
4+4(four)=8
5+4(five)=9
6+3(six)=9
7+5(seven)=12
8+5(eight)=13
9+4(nine)=13
10+3(ten)=13
Next two:
11+6(eleven)=17
12+6(twelve)=18 |
