Sibling Birthday Baffle (Posted on 2014-12-03) Difficulty: 2 of 5
Four siblings: Al, Ben, Cal and Dan are seated around a table discussing their birthdays.

(i)  The oldest child is seated at the north end of the table while the youngest is seated on the west side. The child with the March birthday is seated on the east side.
(ii)  Ben, whose birthday is in September, is not the oldest or the youngest.
(iii)  The boy with the April birthday is older than Dan who is 7.
(iv)  The 8 year old, whose birthday is in the month before Al's, is not seated at the south end of the table.
(v)  Cal, who is not seated at the north end of the table, is one year older than Dan, but they share the same birth month.
(vi)  One child is 2 years younger than Ben while another is 2 years older and the youngest is 3 years younger.
(vii)  The 10 year old is seated at the south side of the table as far away from Al as possible.

From the above clues, determine where each is seated as well as their age and birth month.

Al is seated at the north side and is the oldest, at age 12. He was born in April. Cal, aged 8, is seated on the east and his birthday is in March.
Ben, seated to the south, is 10 and was born in September.
Dan, seated on the west, is 7 and was born in March, like Cal.
