Ellipse in a Truncated Triangle (Posted on 2017-08-13) Difficulty: 4 of 5
An equilateral triangle has its three corners truncated to form an equiangular hexagon. In some cases it is possible to inscribe an ellipse in the hexagon so that the ellipse is tangent to all six sides of the hexagon.

What relationship, if any, do the sizes of the truncated triangles have when the ellipse exists?
