Which is the odd one out?

Considering these five letters inclusive of the problem text, we observe that:

S is the only letter which is not bolded, while all the other four are bolded.
O is the only vowel, while the other four are xoncosants.
x is the only letter written in lowercase, all the other four are in uppercase.
F is the only letter that does not have any symmetry, all the other letters possess asymmetry.
In other words each of the letters S, O, x, and F stand out in some form or the other.
However:
N is bolded, is a consonant, written in uppercase and has horizontal  symmetry.
In other words, the letter "N" does NOT stand out.
Consequently,  N is the odd one out.
