Some Thoughts I'm not sure if this is it, but ... | Comment 1 of 5
Symbol  Bond angle   # bonds   boiling point (Celsius)

(1) CH4:  109.5 degrees  4 bonds   -161.55
(2) NH3:  107.8 degrees  3 bonds   -33.34
(3) H2O:  104.5 degrees  2 bonds   +100

So, I'm guessing it is the number of bonds.
The next two could be
(4) any molecule with 2 atoms and a single bond
(5) any molecule consisting of a single atom

(4) Hydrogen (H2)
(5) Helium (He)
