Riddle Resolution : Intended

• We know that a Bison is often called a Buffalo.

• Also, we observe that, "Bye, son" is a homophone of Bison.

• Consequently, the buffalo said, "Bye, son" to his (male) offspring.

Note: This is fully in conformity with the riddle title as, "See you, (son) " is another form of saying, "Bye, son".
