I should have written something _may_ be going on here. You are right that 1/30 probability events happen a lot (we use 5% or 1% level of significance in statistics class.)
I didn't count how many of the 683 six-digit squares end in BCBC. It may well be higher than 1% as well. Maybe closer to 3/70
