Derive an algorithm to calculate the total number of zeros in the decimal expansion of 20242024.

Solution My algorithm | Comment 1 of 3
1.  Find a full precision calculator such as https://www.mathsisfun.com/calculator-precision.html

2.  Type in 2024^2024 and set to at least 2024log(2024)=6692 digits.

3.  Cut and paste into a google doc https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WeARnLfRklJOL_fNgZK1l6min9KGm9vSgfud6Ro95NU/edit?usp=sharing

4.  Find and Replace type on 1 and it tells you 705

(At first glance this looks high but the other digits have similar counts so this seems accurate.)
