A woman has 7 children, half of them are boys. How can this be possible?

Half of 7 is 3 1/2.  So to say that half the children are boys is to say that 3 1/2 of them are boys.  That's silly.  You can't claim that half a child is a boy, regardless of whether the whole child is.
