Find the first number in the following series. (there may be more than one answer?)

?, 2 ,3 , 8, 30, 144, 840, 5760, 45360...

2*(1 1/2) = 3
3*(2 2/3) = 8
8*(3 3/4) = 30
30*(4 4/5) = 144
144*(5 5/6) = 840
840*(6 6/7) = 5760
5760*(7 7/8) = 45360

i guess that means that shows that the 2nd term = a*(0 0/1) = 0*a = 2

and so a (first term) is undefined
