Since Smith gave an incorrect answer to the problem tonight and Jones gave an incorrect answer at the party two years ago, I'll let you off the hook."

Your response is "No need to tell me more, their ages are..."

3,4,5 the hostess didn't mention the youngest child asking her to pose the question two years ago so the child doesn't need to be of speaking age. I assuming that the child is none of the children are older than 20 and also that the youngest is now of speaking age.

Also assuming that is the product of any two of the ages need to be equal to the sum i.e:
a+b+c= a*b
and when there two years younger:
a+b+c = b*c
